At Ironsmith Fire, we believe that fire protection is more than compliance. It’s a craft, a responsibility, and a promise to protect lives and property without compromise.
That’s why we’re proud to share that Ironsmith Fire is now officially recognized as an Accredited Quality Contractor (AQC) by Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC).
This is a major milestone in our journey, and one we share with only a select group of contractors across the country.
What is AQC, and Why Does It Matter?
The Accredited Quality Contractor program was established by ABC in 1993 to recognize construction firms that consistently demonstrate excellence in five core areas:
– Quality
– Health and safety
– Talent management
– Craft and management education
– Community relations
Earning this credential means we’ve gone through a rigorous review process, not just once, but every year to maintain our status. It’s more than a badge. It’s a commitment.
As ABC President and CEO Michael Bellaman put it:
“This industry-leading contractor has proven they not only provide immense value in the marketplace, but they also prioritize their employees’ health and safety, company culture, and quality work processes.”
What This Means for Our Clients and Partners
Becoming an AQC isn’t just an internal win. It’s a signal to our GCs, owners, vendors, and community that:
– We lead with safety. Our field crews follow ABC’s STEP® Safety Management System and maintain incident rates far below industry averages.
– We invest in people. From OSHA certifications to leadership development, our teams are constantly training to raise the bar.
– We build with purpose. Every project reflects the values we stand behind – precision, transparency, and integrity.
And thanks to recognition from CURT (Construction Users Roundtable), our AQC credential offers clients added confidence in our performance and accountability.
Proud to Build the Right Way
We’re proud to represent the merit shop philosophy, where performance, not politics, drives success. As an AQC contractor, Ironsmith Fire supports a work environment built on freedom, fairness, and opportunity for all.
This accreditation reflects everything we’ve built so far and sets the foundation for where we’re going next.
