MCC-06 · Straight answers
Before you ask

The questions we get

Is this a full-time job?

Yes. Fitters and foremen on Mission Critical work are direct hires with Ironsmith Fire. You're on our payroll, not a contractor.

What's the real schedule?

Most weeks run 12-hour shifts, five days, plus 10s on the weekend. That's how you clear 80 hours. If you want fewer, say so on the call. We'd rather know up front.

When do I get the $500?

On your first paycheck. It's there to help cover the move to the job site.

How does the per diem work?

If you travel in for the job, you get $150 for every day you work. That goes for Memphis and Brownsville. If you already live near the site, per diem doesn't apply. It's specific to these projects, not a standard company benefit.

What about rest and safety?

You'll get a safety and schedule briefing before your first shift. Rest periods are built into the rotation. If something on site doesn't look right, say so. We'd rather hear it.

What if I don't have two years?

Then this crew isn't the fit yet. We hire and train helpers through our regular job board.

I run my own crew. How does that work?

Use the sub crew form above. You'll need a COI, a W9 and a crew that's legally allowed to work in the US. We'll call you to talk through the job and rates.

How fast will I hear back?

We're filling seats now, so fast. Apply today and expect a call this week. If you don't get one, call the Memphis office and ask about Mission Critical work.
