Fire Protection Installation for Multi-Family Residential Complex

This project encompassed two four-story residential buildings at The Pearl at Oxford Commons, a premier apartment community near the University of Mississippi. Each building was equipped with a 750 GPM fire pump and two standpipes to meet fire protection and life safety requirements. Every floor was zoned independently, allowing for proper system control, testing, and maintenance across both structures.

In total, the Ironsmith Fire team installed 1,936 sprinkler heads throughout the complex. The first floor of each building included tenant spaces with individual buildout requirements. As those tenants came online, our crew provided and installed the necessary fire sprinkler materials and systems to accommodate each space — coordinating across active construction to keep the project moving without compromising protection.

The scope required tight coordination between trades on a multi-phase jobsite. With the residential units above and tenant buildouts below, the team managed overlapping timelines and shifting conditions while delivering complete fire protection coverage across both buildings.
